LitPro– is a social-cultural project which aims to establish intercultural dialogue between Belarus and Lithuania. The project is being carried out at European Humanities University (EHU) since May 2007.

Goals

• To establish intercultural dialogue between Belarus and Lithuania as well as to search for the new forms of collaboration;
• Formation, organization and realization of the new joint Belarusian-Lithuanian initiatives and projects on the ground of EHU;
• Teaching Lithuanian language to students, lecturers and employees of EHU, getting them acquainted with Lithuanian culture and history.

Fields of activity

• Joint Belarusian-Lithuanian social and cultural projects and exhibitions (FotoLab, *K.V. festival, PreView festival);
• Master-classes, seminars, workshops and round table discussions with Belarusian and Lithuanian specialists;
• Excursions around Lithuania for students, lecturers and employees of EHU;
• Ethnographic research in Lithuania by EHU students;
• Lithuanian language courses and language summer schools for students, lecturers and employees of EHU.

Opportunities

LitPro project annually announces a contest for social, cultural and educational projects (financial and organizational support).

The project is being carried out in partnership with Vilnius University Department of Lithuanian Studies and supported by the Development cooperation and Democracy promotion department at the Ministry of Foreign affairs of the Republic of Lithuania.
